Established in 1890 on land that has been in the Ames Family since 1777, Ames Farm Inn has 135 acres, with ¼ mile of sandy lakefront. We are located on a picturesque property which is largely undeveloped. Our accommodations consist of 17 lakeside cottages, 4 rooms, 14 apartments, and 2 cottages. We have 23 boat slips, 2 boat launches, and a 48 seat restaurant open mid June through Labor Day serving breakfast and lunch. Retail store with Ames Farm merchandise, local artisans, toys, candy, and ice cream. Large field with games, volleyball, ping pong, shuffleboard, horse shoes, etc.

Take a step back in time and begin building memories for your future. Our lake front cabins offer a cottage colony vacation experience that is vanishing today. Many of our guests have been staying with us for multiple generations, a few married couples even met here. The cabins offer 1 or 2 bedrooms, bath with shower, living room, kitchenette. Towels and linens are provided. Enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We offer apartments in the house across the street which offer stunning views of the lake. We also have rooms for rent.
